Post card Poem/Summer Learning Journey

Task Description:I made a post card that was about sheep.I would like to send it to my Nanny because she has a farm that has 2 sheep living in a paddock.I picked it because it reminded me of staying up north with my Nanny and family at the farm that she owned.

  1. Mōrena Eziaz,

This is such a fun activity as I love poetry and love collecting postcards!! My favourite type of poetry is haikus and tankas, they are old Japanese forms of poetry used to describe emotions and nature. What is your favourite type of poetry?

I think your poem is beautiful and how cool that it was AI generated. How did that work? Did you give the AI any prompts or did it just use the art selected as a prompt?

If you were to send this post card to someone who would you send it to?

  2. Kia Ora Eziaz,
I am Whaea Tanya one of the Manaiakalani Facilitators you might see commenting on the SLJ Blogs, I am finding it fun to see the different ways the tasks are completed.

I have found this an interesting activity to see how people send a range of postcards. When I was younger and went on holidays with my family we had to send postcards from the place we were visiting with a picture of our favourite part to one of our grandparents. So your idea of sending a postcard showing your favourite part of what you did last time you saw your Nanny is a cool idea.
Which words did you put in for the AI to generate this poem? What were they?
Thank you for sharing your favourite type of poems too.

Kia pai tō rā, and keep blogging
